The Sumerians and Fallen Angels

The Sumerians and Fallen Angels

Zecharia Sitchin gained fame as an author of a menagerie of books written of his interpretation of Sumerian tablets.  Allegedly he was one of a handful of scholars who could translate the cuneiform of the tablets.  Honestly, as I looked back on my life the only Sumerian I was familiar with was Conan the Barbarian.  I will get straight to the point so I will not bore you with the details. Over 20,000 tablets were uncovered and shipped to the British Museum in mid 1800s.   Sitchin made a fortune writing about what the tablets allegedly stated and caused a internet revolution on the subject.

Sitchin claimed a race of beings landed on Earth and taught mankind about science, astronomy, writing, politics, mathematics, sex, worship, and war. I would like to stop right here and ask you, “Have you ever read the Book of Enoch?”

This Book was removed from the Bible yet it is referenced in the Bible today.

Jude 1:14

New International Version (NIV)

14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones

Enoch I and Enoch II are must reading for the student of Biblical history.  These are my favorite books.  Here is where I discovered the Grigori, Watchers, Nephilim, Gibborim, Phoenixes, Chalkidri, and the ten classes of good and bad angels. We can circle back to the amazing details of the Book of Enoch but let’s focus on the fact Enoch states the Fallen Angels came to Earth and did exactly what Sitchin claims the Sumerian tablets stated.

You do not have to be a detective to see the relationship between the art work of the Sumerian tablets and today’s Angel motif. Take a look at these pictures and you will see what I mean.

The Sumerian Annunaki

The Sumerians called them “Annunaki” and the Book of Enoch called them Fallen Angels.  Both accounts have many similarities from sexual manipulation, war, and having man worship them as Gods. There were dire consequences for man if any rules were broken including public murder.  According to the Book of Enoch many of the Fallen Angels were conflicted and asked for forgiveness from the Most High. Additionally the Fallen Ones were divided on how to value and treat mankind. Some were disgusted by man and others found value in the Spiritual power of man.

Much like Sitchin stated the Annunaki possessed the same inclinations toward mankind.
