2012 GIANT Movies – Coming Soon!

What a coincidence Hollywood is promoting giant movies in 2012.  It is obviously becoming a hot topic and quite frankly they are going to sell a boat load of tickets! I know I will be in line, well not really, because I will buy them online and pass you Luddites waiting in line.  Without doubt, we at Revelation Now,  have to cover these movies because they give us a glimpse into our ancient past.

I am not saying these are true stories but it is way cool to see giants in action against mankind.  The Bible stated there were giants on (and in) the Earth during another epoch.

Genesis 6:4
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in

unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became
mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Throughout Greek mythology, Hopi Indian lore, Celtic history and the list goes on, giants were prevalent in their yore. With that being said,  “The Wrath of the Titans” is a timely sequel to “Clash of the Titans”.  Sam Worthington reprises his role as Perseus, half human, half God.  His mama’s baby-daddy is none other than Zeus. It brilliantly provides an alternative interpretation to what would happen if the giants ever returned.

It will probably be gory because a giant could rip a man’s head off and drink him like a juice box. How mankind ever survived giants is beyond me. If you have not seen the official trailer then check it out below:

The next giant movie in 2012 is “Jack the Giant Killer”, it is a remake of the timeless fairy tale (or is it?) of “magic” beans, which when wet, sprout into a giant inter-dimensional vine leading to the world of giants. Interesting enough you will hear in the trailer, the “beans” were born of “dark magic”.

Giant from "Jack the Giant Killer"

Another negative inference into the history of giants and their relationship to man. The movie stars Nicholas Hoult, who has matured into a fine actor. If you saw him in “About a Boy”,  with Hugh Grant,  he is all grown up now. He also played “Beast” (to me he looked like the Grinch but blue) in the X-Men: First Class.

It looks like two blockbuster movies with giants in 2012!  Take a look at the other trailer here:

It is nice to know “Wrath of the Titans” comes out in March 2012!  That is right around the corner…
