Chicken Soup for the Tribulation

Chicken Soup for the Tribulation

Tribulation is such a divisive topic in many Christian circles. It has turned into a handy divide and conquer strategy. The argument revolves are the children of the Most High being whisked away before the tribulation as opposed to having to experience the tribulation on earth. That is it in a nutshell. The schism is also around the fact the word “rapture” is not in the Bible.

The rapture is actually attributed to John Nelson Darby (1800 – 1882) and he was an Anglo-Irish Bible teacher, one of the influential figures among the original Plymouth Brethren and the founder of the Exclusive Brethren. He is considered to be the father of modern Dispensationalism and Futurism in the English vernacular. He produced a translation of the Bible based on the Hebrew and Greek texts called The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby.

Darby became “the father of the rapture doctrine.” He was the first to develop a full-blown theology that incorporated the teaching that Jesus would return secretly (His “second” coming) to rapture His true followers, leaving the rest behind to be ruled by an evil antichrist for seven years, and then return again (His “third” coming) in a visible, glorious coming to destroy antichrist, save those who were converted during the seven-year tribulation, and establish His own kingdom.

This is the source of countless heated debates between Christians. This leads to what to do if there is no pre-tribulation rapture or there is and how do you prepare? As a result, many men have turned this into a financial opportunity to sell “solutions” to survive the tribulation in the name of God. This has also turned into a bone of contention within many Christian circles. How should we prepare for a spiritual judgement from the Most High?

Are material solutions the answer for saving your spiritual lives? All of the answers are in the Bible on how to survive the last days. Honestly, not all of them end well. There is the threat of death but we have the threat death everyday just by living. Fear is the cornerstone of tribulation prepping. These are the following most popular questions people ask themselves:

  • Will I have enough food, water, and clothing?
  • Will I have enough money?
  • Will I be able to defend myself and my family?
  • Will I be murdered?
  • Should I relocate my family out of America?
  • What should be my spiritual mindset?

Now that we have established a framework of questions let’s categorically address them all . . . using the Word. This is important so the Word will not be convoluted with any agenda except truth. It is in this manner we can synchronize our spiritual minds with His teachings. This should also unshackled our minds from scripture mixed with falsehoods.

Will I have enough food, water, and clothing?

Who does not want food, water, or clothes? Let’s face it if you are not feeding your body by sun-gazing you will need a meal plan. Now let’s take this to Christ and see what he taught.

Matthew 6:31-34

31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. 34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

This is a message to all of you “preppers” out there! Christ would call you all unbelievers. You can justify prepping all you want but you can not justify Christ supporting you in this vein. In fact, He tells you exactly how to be provided for at all times. Christ advises us all to “seek the Kingdom of God” which means to pursue incorruptible truth. We are instructed to live righteously which means living in truth . . . always. It is then a spiritual chain reaction will occur and we will provided food, water, and clothing. Christ, even taught us not to worry about tomorrow. Which means keep your thoughts in the moment of truth. When you begin to dwell on tomorrow or prep you are breaking this spiritual principle. In other words, good luck on your own!

Will I have enough money to survive tribulation?

Let’s face it, this whole system is predicated on money. Those who have more of it live the high life. The fear with money if you live in America is the dollar will bottom out and you need a precious metal to survive. It is true ever since President Nixon stopped backing currency with gold it has been down hill ever since. The question is will money or silver or gold save you in the tribulation? Let’s take it to Christ.

Zephaniah 1:18

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

The Holy Spirit made a point of addressing silver and gold in the last days. It will not save you from the Lord’s wrath but until that day it is obviously a solid investment! This whole money/gold/silver investment strategy coupled with tribulation is an oxymoron. Again a material financial strategy is used to allegedly survive the tribulation. According to the Word, not even silver or gold will help you survive. Sure, it is fine to sell precious metals but not in the name of the Lord . . . it does not add up.

Will I be able to defend myself and my family?

Who wants to see their loved ones harmed? No one! If the line between civilization and total anarchy is erased this could be probable. It is the establishment of the satanic kingdom in plan view; however, many will argue it is already here. Tribulation at this point is a matter of perspective. Ask the people of an African village which has just been overrun and women and children have their arms and legs hacked off. Or the people in the country of China who are so hungry they are eating their dead. This is a really tough one!

Matthew 19:18

18 He said to Him, “Which ones?”

Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’

Let’s take a look at the definition of murder:

Murder is the unlawful killing, with malice aforethought, of another human, and generally this premeditated state of mind distinguishes murder from other forms of unlawful homicide (such as manslaughter).

I am sure all of you will agree protecting your family is not murder. Christ clearly addressed “murder” and did not include “self defense.” So do not feel bad if you ever have to defend the lives of your family because Christ did not forbid it.

Will I be murdered?

This appears to be the biggest fear driving the doomsday scenarios. Self preservation is the pink elephant in the spiritual room and quite frankly this keeps you trapped in the material. Pretribulation is just as dangerous as tribulation. Sadly, people are murdered everyday and you probably have a greater chance of winning Powerball than being murdered. Let’s review this subject to Christ and see what he taught us.

Luke 21:36

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

Christ has told us there is an escape clause for us to avoid experiencing the tribulation. You see this is a “spiritual” solution which requires “praying.” People seem to gloss over the power behind prayer but Christ says it is important. It creates a circuit from the spiritual to the physical.  It is almost like a watering a seed in the spiritual ether. Please take note Christ did not tell us to buy enormous volumes of food, water, or stock up on gold and silver. He simply said “pray” for the escape.

Luke 17:33

Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.

When you stop being concerned with saving your life you take the emphasis off of the material. If you truly begin to align your thoughts (FAITH) with the teachings of Christ you will receive from His Kingdom. According to the Word all of these misguided folks who are attempting to excessively prep or invest their way through Tribulation will lose their life. How can you be part time spiritual and part time material?

Should I relocate my family out of America?

This is a tough one because if the interpretation of Revelation 18:4. It instructs us to come out of her my people and most scholars assume this is America. After making the connection many Super Bowl performances are practicing occult rituals in conjunction with the stars and planets; I am convinced Isaiah 47 is talking about America. So if you live in America should you leave?

I would say not so fast! We must remember the Bible is a spiritual book first and foremost. In my opinion, we are being instructed to come out of her spiritually. Once we do this we are blessed with a hedge of protection by the Most High. There is barrage of “what-if” gloomy scenarios we should prep for according to many alternative media prognosticators (normally for their own financial gain). The motto is: “Pray for the best, prepare for the worst.”

Revelation 18:4

Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “‘Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;

If we look at the lives of Abednego, Meshach, and Shadrach we will see the power of walking in faith. These men survived conditions tribulation can present in modern times. Thermonuclear bombs would burn hotter than the furnace these men survived. We also have stories of families who painted lambs blood above their doors to avoid the plague within their own city. Do you think these men were overly concerned with how to survive the barbaric actions of men in their day?

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are men recorded in the book of Daniel Chapters 1–3, known for their exclusive devotion to God. In particular, they are known for being saved by divine intervention from the Babylonian execution of being burned alive in a fiery furnace. They were three young Jews, of royal or noble birth from the Kingdom of Judah, who, along with Daniel, were inducted into Babylon when Jerusalem was occupied by the Babylonians in 606/605 BC, under the campaign of Nebuchadnezzar II, during the first deportation of the Israelites.

With that being said our faith is enough to survive anything thrown at us. There is nothing the Most High has not planned for us. It is safe to say if you are in America the Most High knows your financial condition and His hedge of protection will be over you. Many people will argue you should still leave and my answer to that is: “It is called a New World Order for a reason.” More importantly we do not have to hide. Even in death we will be given eternal life.

What should be my spiritual mindset?

This is the most important question and all you really need to master. Being “saved” is a process and not some type of badge of honor you pull out. It is the process of reprogramming your mind like a new born baby. Shedding the negative emotions and belief systems that are counter intuitive to seeking the Kingdom. Having faith means knowing you will be provided for and not hedging your faith with a garage filled with freeze dried food or thinking you are going to buy your way through the last days.

Connecting with the Kingdom is all about your mindset. You should be set in His ways and seeking to gain greater understanding of the spiritual laws He shared with us. It is imperative we remove all doubt for this to work. The stronger the faith the greater the benefits. Even a Roman soldier during the time of Christ benefited from complete surrender to the teachings of Christ. It is a story of how to factually experience the power of the Kingdom.

Matthew 8:5-13

New Living Translation (NLT)

The Faith of a Roman Officer

5 When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer[a] came and pleaded with him, 6 “Lord, my young servant[b] lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.” 7 Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.” 8 But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.

9 I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.” 10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!

11 And I tell you this, that many Gentiles will come from all over the world—from east and west—and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven. 12 But many Israelites—those for whom the Kingdom was prepared—will be thrown into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

13 Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, “Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened.” And the young servant was healed that same hour.

The soldier understood the hierarchy of the military and knew if the general gave an order to a soldier it would have to happen. As a result he understood the spiritual hierarchy and just accepted the validity of the outcome. This was pure belief because the spiritual authority of Christ was invisible. It is also a testament to the character of the centurion because he was there on behalf of his young servant. The point is if you truly believe in the Kingdom it will manifest in your life.

In closing, I have received many emails from people thanking me for freeing them from the mental shackles of fear driven doomsday prepping. Some shared with me this fear based prepping obsession caused conflicts within their marriage. While others were curious if the stress and fear from listening to a steady stream of fear and doom prepping led to their heart disease. Most of the emails were thankful they could now focus on the true teachings of the Word.

Instead of trying to prep your way through a punishment earmarked for your land; should you not be spiritually elevated yourselves? There is no amount of gold or silver that will deliver you from the Lord’s wrath. The Lord uses a number of tools at His disposal. Such as enemies of the state, extreme weather, earth changes, and damage from space. We can also look at Matthew 16:32 which tells us being overly concerned about food, water, and clothing are the thoughts of unbelievers.

I am not saying not exercise common sense here folks. We all store food in our homes now. Go open up your fridge or pantry now. Yes, we need to eat and drink water this is a given but this is about something else. Christ came to teach us about systems we have access to in order to prosper and to provide us with abundance. Jesus attempted to teach us so when He left we could all survive. He did not want us riding our bicycles with spiritual training wheels into our spiritual adulthood.

Meaning if we actually practice the teachings we would realize the lesson as a reality. Someone recently shared with me they heard a saying, “Preppers need to lean on their Faith…” or something to that nature. My response to you if you are a “prepper” you are exercising a lack of Faith. You are trying to plan around events using your own energy and not the energy of the Most High. Christ told you explicitly you are an unbeliever if you are worried about food, water, and clothing.

You are unable to connect to the spiritual source when your thoughts are aligned with material solutions. Christ told us how important it is to program our minds with the right thoughts. There can be no doubt but only accepting the fact His laws will work. The birds can not see the air but they know if they flap their wings the air will lift them. How is that for knowing? If the birds had any doubt it would turn into fear and they would never fly.

One of the most spiritually insightful movies of all time was Star Wars. Yoda taught Luke in order to use the “force” he had to shed everything he learned before. Luke needed to not just believe the “force” but know it would work. You can not oscillate between material and spiritual thought paradigms because they operate under different laws. You have to be all in! This is the fallacy I see by a contradictory practice of the Word.

You can not say you believe and have access to spiritual sustenance and abundance while hoarding supplies. This is an oxymoron. True Faith is not prepping because you know you are a child of the King and He loves you. He told us He feeds the birds and we can expect to be fed because we are His most precious creation. You are not really connected to the Kingdom when you oppose these spiritual principles.

Hebrews 11:1

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

We must learn what to expect from the spiritual Kingdom and place our Faith in them. We will become true disciples when lean only on them to prosper. Anyone telling you to prep to prosper is not teaching sound doctrine. They are mixing and matching scripture with their own self driven intentions. When you see their words are not in conformance with the Word you should divorce yourself from their presence. You are poisoning your mind and lying to yourself.

There is so much debate about a pre-tribulation rapture verses tribulation for everyone it has turned divisive. People have turned bitter over this and quite frankly it is silly. We will all find out one way or another but the most important element is Faith in the spiritual systems of the Kingdom. This is the Most High insurance policy for all of us truly seeking truth. If I am left behind I am covered and if I am taken I am covered. In other words I do not care as long as I am covered.

We have to be more concerned with our spiritual acumen than our physical life. Your focus truly becomes your reality in this sense. Where in the Bible does it tell us to prep or stock up on silver and gold?  The mind of the “prepper” is filled with fearful outcomes. The Christian doomsday preppers spend their hard earned money on doomsday supplies yet they claim they have Faith. In essence, they are actually listening to unsound hodgepodge doctrine to direct them to enrich men with not so hidden agendas.

Philippians 4:6-9

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Can you imagine the peace you would have if you actually incorporated this scripture into your self program? In the midst of all of the “sky is falling” broadcast and apocalyptic Hollywood movies to say, “So be it. I am at peace.”  If you are not at this point in your life you are not experiencing the peace that surpasses all understanding. What is key is to fix your thoughts on TRUTH. Not the words and opinions of man. Read the Word for yourself. The only good excuse for not reading the scripture yourself is . . . you can not read and not is not really a good one because you can get the Bible on CD or mp3.

This road to spiritual peace is an internal journey and no one can do it for you. It is your responsibility and you should not be at the mercy of men. Especially the ones with money tables in the temple. Why did the prophet Zephaniah make a point to address silver and gold in the last days? There is so much talk about it in financial circles but is it a spiritual directive? Are we to rely on material things to save us spiritually?

There is no escape from the wrath of the Most High and let’s be hones with ourselves. America is a hypocritical nation of men who practice witchcraft and murder innocent people. America was built on the blood and attempted genocide of the American Indian and then became a super power after 400 years a free African slave labor. It is like marriage which is birthed from an adulterous relationship . . . it rarely turns out good

After capturing Super Bowl ritual after ritual I am convinced occult science is the very thing America uses to manipulate and prosper. If you are a prepper and you live in America how will you survive this? You have already corrupted your Faith by the act of prepping. You obviously do not trust in the spiritual systems afforded to us and you have your own plan. So if you do not want food and water from the Most High you must not want His protection. In other words, “What color is your body bag?”
