If you’ve followed any of the goings on of late between Michael Erevna/Marinka Peschmann and Doug Hamann/Steve Quayle, you know that things have heated up a bit. There have been a lot personal attacks from the followers on both sides and the vitriol is over the top. If I may, I would like to offer a somewhat objective point of view and try to inject a little bit of critical thinking and reason. I typically write from a stand point of faith and love in the Most High and love and for each other, but faith, love, and reason appear to be in extreme short supply in this conversation.

I am not going to address the statements made by Doug Hagmann and Steve Quayle about Michael Erevna earlier this week (Michael will address those statements himself), rather I intend to address the issue itself. I have not had any personal dealings with Steve Quayle or Doug Hagmann; although I do own a small amount of precious metals purchased from Steve Quayle. Also, before you cook my goose, I do advocate some level of emergency preparedness. That’s just smart! We have seen many recent examples of how unprepared people have been left hanging high and dry or in some cases in water up to their ears. Use your own discernment here.

That being said, I began a search for truth a few years back, probably like many of you. Steve Quayle’s website was one of the first that I stumbled upon and I got stuck there and followed him for about 8 months or so and I believed a lot of what I read and heard. He seemed to have information that I didn’t have and couldn’t seem to get anywhere else and he sounded so intelligent and Godly all at once . . . something I couldn’t seem to find at church.

After reading stevequayle.com and listening to Hagmann & Hagmann everyday for a while, I commenced to withdrawn the entirety of my retirement savings, early withdrawal tax penalties and all. Steve and Doug warned often that our money wasn’t safe in the bank, it wouldn’t be worth much before too long anyway, it would be lost to Cypress style bail-ins, or a number of other scenarios that have yet to play out. That is not to say that maybe one or some of these things won’t happen at some point in the near or distant future.

I went on to purchase some survival gear and other survival stuff or what I call dooms day gear. I lived in a state of fear and paranoia during this entire period, a state referred to by these gentlemen as “being awake.” First thing every morning I was checking Stevequayle.com to see what the news was for the day. It was great, a never ending flow of information not found anywhere else, from the early morning to late in the evening. I was awake!!!

After a while I started noticing some inconsistencies, some reports that were really outdated passed off as breaking news right now and in some cases reports were posted that advocated both sides of an issue that were in conflict with each other. I started feeling a little disillusioned, although I knew there was some truth, I just wasn’t really sure where the facts ended and the innuendo began.

This disillusionment led me to start looking elsewhere for information and I was able to find it several other places, but I also started learning and researching a lot on my own and let the Holy Spirit lead me. I eventually quit visiting Steve Quayle’s site altogether and the fear and paranoia subsided. I can happily say that I am still awake.

Now that I have shared my personal experience, that frankly, I am a little ashamed of.  I would like to offer some tips or advice if you will. There have been several followers\commenters to the posts that have been written concerning this issue decrying the slander against our brothers in Christ, Steve Quayle and Doug Hagmann and their “ministries,” also known as “watchmen on the wall” or “men of God.” Whether or not they are our brother’s in Christ or watchmen I will leave to a higher authority; however, I do know that what they do does not fit the Scriptural definition of a ministry. I know they sound like ministers and you might feel ministered to, they quote scripture and plead the blood of Jesus and. . . they sound like televangelists.

What they are doing is speaking a language that you identify as being good, Christian ease. They grab a few bits of truth off the news wire throw it in the mixer with some info about giants and ancient stuff and government disestablishmentarianism, and patriotism, and few other –isms and, after it’s all said and done, viola! Out pops this concocted prediction of horrible things to come that is scary as hell.

We’re all gonna die and Steve says pre-tribulation rapture is a lie, so we’re going to need all this food and water and supplies to live through everything that is going to happen. And just to make things easier for you Steve Quayle has everything you need right there on his website including all the precious metals you can handle (which probably isn’t much, PM’s are heavy, they would definitely slow you down if you had to run) and if they don’t have it they can get it.

Alright, I’m trying to keep this lite. I mean no disrespect. This kind of thing is commonly referred to as a PsyOp and in some cases it is a form of mind control. Deception is absolutely oozing out of the airways and on the internet. Be diligent and guard your mind at all times. If we apply a little bit of critical thinking to this, we will find a couple of problems here.

Problem #1: Information that can’t be found anywhere else.

If you are reading or listening to something that sounds mildly or hugely unbelievable, do some research and try to corroborate it. Use some discernment. Don’t just take it at face value because someone that you have blindly put your trust in says it’s true. Do your homework, the enemy is very subtle and he is working overtime to deceive. Google it!!

Problem #2: Self-proclaimed ministers or watchmen.

OK…well, I don’t know where these titles came from but they are kinda vague and nebulous. I know this is a given but not everyone that quotes scripture is a minister of light. We really, really have to be careful who we believe and trust. Let the Holy Spirit lead you, if something doesn’t seem quite right, there’s a good chance it’s not. Think for yourself, Quayle and Hagmann and lot of the other “watchmen” do not have the corner on the information market. Information that can be corroborated is available if you just look for it. We have been so trained to just believe what the “man of God” says and not weigh it against the truth. Think for yourself!!

Problem #3: The Fear and Paranoia feed.

Fear does not come from the Most High. If you are reading or listening to something from a “watchman” or “man of God” and you start to feel afraid or feel hopeless and helpless, stop listening\reading. Fear is the antithesis of everything the Most High is. Fear does not come from our creator, He is love, He is gentle, and He gives the peace that passes all understanding. If you are encountering something that does not meet these criteria, it is not from the Most High.

2 Timothy 1:7

 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Problem #4: Promoting fear then peddling merchandise to counter fear.

Otherwise known as supply and demand. These “watchmen” fellas create demand by instilling fear in their audience\followers and then offer goods and supplies to help you prepare for the imminent doom they are predicting, in this case survival gear, food, water, and precious metals, because economic collapse will occur this afternoon, there is a Nephilim giant around every corner, and martial law will be instated forthwith. They used to call these types snake oil salesmen. It is a conflict of interest for someone to call themselves a watchman for the kingdom of the Most High, then report that doom is imminent in order to sell merchandise to avert imminent doom. If everything they predict happens, there is very little preparation you can make that will save you. Be awake and aware don’t be swindled!!

There have been so many reports of people with stories similar to mine or worse that have had their lives destroyed on many levels. Scripture is very clear about who the destroyer is. I don’t think it is a stretch to say that individuals who are causing destruction in people’s lives are employed by or at the very least in the service of the chief destroyer. I am not here to say that Hagmann and Quayle do this intentionally. Perhaps they are themselves deceived, but what is obvious is that they are making a handy profit from what they are doing. I will leave it to you to think for yourself and come to your own conclusion.

I offer this to you because I love you and in the service of my master, The Most High God. This is the same reason Michael Erevna and other writers at Revelation Now continue to expose Quayle and Hagmann. It is not for vendetta, it is to help people find truth and avert deception. Let our fight be with the enemy not each other. Let us place our Faith in the Most High not men.
