Faith, Physics and Love: A Deeper Understanding of the Sermon on the Mount

The Sermon on the Mount, commonly known as, “The Be Attitudes,” seems to be popping up from around every corner lately. I’ve heard a minister speak on the topic, a couple of podcasts, and the other day I sat down with my, through the year, Bible (something I don’t always do) and the passage for the day was the sermon on the mount from Matthew and Luke. Synchronicity anyone? This message from the Messiah ranks in my top 10 passages of scripture.

Have you ever considered why the sermon on the mount is called, “The Be Attitudes?” This sermon is generally perceived as the behavioral rules and regulations if you are a Christian. This passage is not about behavior. It is about a mental and emotional state of being. The Be Attitudes should then be understood as a state of being not a set of rules and regulations. If you recall English class, their are two kinds of verbs: action verbs and state-of-being verbs. The sermon on the mount is about being not acting. Did you catch that? We are supposed to be Christians not act like Christians.

Where the Levitical Law was about keeping the commandments, and rituals, and traditions, the Messiah’s commandments are about a state of mind and condition of the heart. Although this seems very simple, it leads into many of the aspects of Christian faith that are so often glossed over, misunderstood, or misrepresented.

The state of mind and heart condition of believers should be love, always. Love is the driving force behind everything Christ taught in the sermon on the mount. Understanding this principle is vital to faith and spiritual mindedness. Matthew 5 followed directly by 1 Corinthians 13 is the embodiment of the mind of Christ.

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 2:14-16)

To understand the sermon on the mount as rules for how to be a christian is legalism. This is essentially what the Pharisees did. To them it didn’t matter what was in the heart, you could be as corrupt as all day long, so long as you obeyed the letter of the law with your actions then you were good to go. That is why Christ described the Pharisees as white washed tombs. Inwardly, they were filled with death.

Frankly, Christ could not care less how good your works are if there is no love in your heart. This is an important concept to grasp because love is the energy that propels the engine of faith into spirit. Recall the scripture without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). If we do not live with a mindset of love it renders our faith powerless and we are unable to please the Father. James said that faith without works is dead (James 2:14-26). He is referring to works as a product of a heart filled with the love of Christ.

FaithWithoutLove

In order to reach the Father’s heart we must have faith energized by love. Is that not the goal of the believer, to reach the Father’s heart? This is reminiscent of the woman with the issue of blood who believed, if she could just touch the hem of Christ’s garment, she would be healed. Based on Christ’s response to her by asking, “who touched me, I felt power go out of me,” and the healing this woman received without the Messiah even knowing who touched him, it is obvious that this woman was able to touch the heart of the master.

When you resonate and vibrate with the energy of faith you are working with powerful energy. An energy that will supply you daily with hunches, insights, and ideas on which you can act. An energy that will propel you into action, and through action, will attract to you the people, circumstances, events, the synchronicity that will manifest that which you are vibrating faith in. There are no shortages of posts on RevelationNow that discuss operating in a higher vibration. This really comes into play where faith energized by love is concerned. Scripture states that God is the word, God is love, and God is spirit. These three are interconnected and there is a great deal of spiritual power waiting for us to harness if we can grasp this and begin to walk in this power.

God is the Word – John 1:1 God created all that is by speaking it into existence. Speaking creates sound vibrations. These vibrations are still vibrating and sustaining creation…talk about a renewable source of energy! Interestingly, science also bears this concept out as described in the String Theory of Physics.

In physics, string theory is a theoretical framework in which the point-like particles of particle physics are replaced by one-dimensional objects called strings. String theory describes how these strings propagate through space and interact with each other. On distance scales larger than the string scale, a string looks just like an ordinary particle, with its mass, charge, and other properties determined by the vibrational state of the string. In string theory, one of the many vibrational states of the string corresponds to the graviton, a quantum mechanical particle that carries gravitational force. Thus string theory is a theory of quantum gravity.

String theory is a broad and varied subject that attempts to address a number of deep questions of fundamental physics. String theory has been applied to a variety of problems in black hole physics, early universe cosmology, nuclear physics, and condensed matter physics, and it has stimulated a number of major developments in pure mathematics. Because string theory potentially provides a unified description of gravity and particle physics, it is a candidate for a theory of everything, a self-contained mathematical model that describes all fundamental forces and forms of matter. Despite much work on these problems, it is not known to what extent string theory describes the real world or how much freedom the theory allows to choose the details. Source

God is Spirit – John 4:24 The spirit dimension is a very high frequency vibration. To be spiritually minded is to resonate in a state of high frequency vibration. Resonating in higher frequencies is only possible when our state of being is Christ mindedness or love.

In the spiritual dimension, negative energy is lower vibration because it is denser and heavier. Positive energy is higher vibration because it is finer and lighter. All negative energy makes you feel trapped and heavy. All positive energy makes you feel free and light. That is the difference between joy and grief, peace and stress, clarity and frustration. Negative energy is emotional burden while positive energy is emotional freedom. Emotions are truly spiritual in nature.

God is love – 1 John 4:8 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends….(1Corinthians 13:4-8) Sounds like a description of The Father. When we live with this mindset, the natural by product is  action born out of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galations 5:22-23), commonly known as the fruit of the spirit. These are not intended to be actions that we conjure up, rather the product of being love.

Definition of the Love Frequency
528 is known as the ‘Miracle’ tone which brings remarkable and extraordinary changes. Dr. Joseph Puleo analyzed the meaning of the tone using Latin dictionaries and hidden entries from Webster’s Dictionary. The “Mi” tone is characterized as:
1. an extraordinary occurrence that surpasses all known human powers or natural forces and is ascribed to a divine or supernatural cause, esp. to God.
2. a superb or surpassing example of something; wonder, marvel [1125-75]; ME <L Miraculum=Mira(Ri) to wonder at. fr(French): sighting, aiming to hold against the light. (gestorum: gesture; movements to express thought, emotion; any action, communication, etc. intended for effect.)
The 528Hz tone alone is associated with ‘DNA Repair‘

If the Father is love, spirit, and word, does it not then follow that we should operate in love and be mindful of our words in order to be spirit led or spiritually minded, or God minded? Are you seeing the connections here?

Let me clarify, I am not talking about self becoming God. There are many spiritual teachings where this is the end goal. That is idolatry and is not where this is going. We are talking about tapping into the Most High, learning how to be what scripture says we should be, spiritually minded. Christ told his disciples that they would have the same power to do all the miracles that he did and greater. This isn’t going to happen by trying real hard or being good. We have to understand this power, we need to learn how to tap into it, and how to harness it. This power is the Most High God, it is the power of the Holy Spirit, it is love, it is the vibration of the sound of words.

Without understanding who God is and how to please him,  how are we going to resonate with him? We have to raise our vibration into his frequency. This can only be achieved by purifying and controlling our thoughts (Phillipians 4:8 and 2 Corinthians 10:5) by meditating on scripture, living in a state of constant love toward God and others (Matthew 22:46-30), having love powered faith in the Most High and the supernatural, and speaking–praying out loud, speaking scripture out loud, saying life giving and affirming words. This is the formula laid out in scripture.

…there is evidence for a whole new type of medicine in which DNA can be influenced and reprogrammed by words and frequencies WITHOUT cutting out and replacing single genes. Source

There are many believers of the mindset that sin is the problem and sin is essentially what dampens the power of the Most High in us. Perhaps, but I submit to you that if your state of being is love, sin is not going to be a problem. This can be likened to dieting, for anyone who has ever attempted to change their diet, you know it is next to impossible. Why? Because the focus is the food you should not be eating, which invariably ends in eating those foods, 🙁 instead of focusing on being healthy. Focusing on sin is no different, the more you focus on not sinning, the more you sin. On the contrary, the more you focus on being love, the less you will sin.

If you truly want to raise your vibration, connect with the power of Love. Real Love is not some fluffy concept. It is the essence of spiritual energy. Source

If scripture and science agree on this, should we not follow suit?

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
