The Double Minded Christian

The Double Minded Christian

I have been asked over the years why I entertain dysfunctional behavior from people who promote themselves as Christians on Facebook. I have encountered some conflicted people who gush about “God’s Love” and then behave the very way the teachings in the Bible instruct us not to. I had a perfect stranger tell me I am a public personality and that opens me up to criticism. Then felt comfortable enough in a instant messaging relationship of 7 minutes, to tell me to basically stop whining about the death of my wife to breast cancer. I am sure the following week this person was back to gushing about “God’s Love.”

I have noticed many Christians are excited about the notion of promoting the Most High, but because they have not studied the Word meticulously they are really not approved. Have you noticed one of biggest defensive Christian behaviors is “judging.” They pull the “judging” card quicker than a soccer referee witnessing on field violence. They are quick to say, “I do not want to cast the first stone.” This illustrates the fact they do not even understand many things in the Bible.

People seem oblivious to the fact Christ changed earthly law on the day He saved Mary Magdalene from a legal public stoning. Christ used “judging” as a w ay to make people realize they should not kill because they are not sin free. This was major during His time and it would be major during modern times regarding Sharia Law. Christians are instructed to judge in the Bible, but never to do it hypocritically or maliciously. We are to judge ALL things in conformance with the instructions in the Bible.

I am interested about the psychology of many Christians because it is a blend of their limited Biblical knowledge, group think, and a combination of their ego. It is more important for some people to be right at any cost…including their salvation. Take for example these prosperity preachers who profit immensely by peddling the Word. The Bible clearly defined these men as “hucksters” and the Apostles threw shade on them on them as less than respectable in the eyes of the Most High.

Ironically, these churches are bursting with members who enrich these hucksters to the point they become multi-millionaires. Let’s think about this for a minute. The Disciples had a problem with anyone who used the teachings of Christ to profit, but Christians today either overlook, deny, or ignore it. Why is that? How can you claim you “love” the Lord and then deny His teaching? Many Christians worship hucksters and made up their mind these people are doing the Lord’s will. If so, why did the Apostles throw shade on hucksters in the first place?

Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God. - 2 Corinthians 2:17

When you are truly “at one” with the teachings in the Bible you should be at peace. If you are arguing, adversarial, accusatory, contradictory, or hypocritical with your words then you are not there. You are still in sheep mode and you are not ready to lead. The greatest leaders of all time lead by example and this includes our great Teacher. It is SO interesting receiving comments from people because it provides a glimpse into their psyche!

One lady told me, “God has NOTHING to do with the weather!” Let me make sure I understand this, the Creator who created all things including the weather has nothing to do with it? There are Biblical teachings explaining He created the winds, waters, and even hangs the Earth on nothing. If people actually studied the Bible they would know these things. Instead of studying they do more than lean on their own understanding…they lounge on it. Most of all they depend on other people to read the Bible to them…like small children in a reading circle!

9 The stormy wind comes from its chamber, and the driving winds bring the cold. 10 God’s breath sends the ice, freezing wide expanses of water. 11 He loads the clouds with moisture, and they flash with his lightning. 12 The clouds churn about at his direction. They do whatever he commands throughout the earth. 13 He makes these things happen either to punish people or to show his unfailing love. 14 “Pay attention to this, Job. Stop and consider the wonderful miracles of God! 15 Do you know how God controls the storm and causes the lightning to flash from his clouds? 16 Do you understand how he moves the clouds with wonderful perfection and skill? - (Job 37:9-16)

Christians claim they are hated because of Satan, but many of them are hated because of their own behaviors. They have placed themselves on a pedestal and used snippets of the Bible to support their own agenda while catering to a greater sense of self worth…which comes down to vanity. Christians have been defined as the most gullible audience on Earth and prosperity preachers are proof of this. They can also be the cruelest. For the record I am discussing some of the Christians out there. I do know many who are well read and there discernment is inline with His teachings!

I recently encountered a person who was basically enabling the art of lying and not repudiating it. In the mind of this person some so called Christians (especially prosperity preachers) have a license to lie based on their works. People are oblivious to the fact what comes out of your mouth (frequency) not just affects you, but others around you. The Laws and Principles taught by the Most High are absolute and there can be no deviation. We understand physical laws must be respected or physical death could result. If you do not believe in the Law of Gravity go ahead and test it.

The same applies for Spiritual Laws! The Garden of Eden was perfect because humans lived in harmony with spiritual laws. You cannot pick and choose what Scripture you will respect and promote. The human ego is the greatest enemy of the human mind. Many people like to promote Jesus because they want people to see them as a “good” person. There is a huge difference between acting good and being good. In my opinion there is one major problem with some confused Christians and it has to do with studying and finding yourself approved.

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15 King James Version (KJV)

If these confused Christians would study the Bible and seek understanding of the Laws and Principles they would develop critical discernment. The ego would be shelved and understanding of spiritual things would take over. If you are out there supporting preachers who promote the LGBT agenda then you are Antichrist. If you support any preacher that has mixed their human opinion outside of the Gospels, you are Antichrist. Because we are encased in this flesh we are all sinners and should be seeking sound doctrine.

If your relationships are not a reflection of the Laws and Principles of the Most High then you have not studied enough. The more you study the more He will act on your behalf! I know this because I am unworthy and He still saved me from a plot to steal my money, including stealing my children. My enemies thought they would destroy me, but the same traps they laid for me they fell in. Now they are all exposed and they have to face the music. I believe just the fact I studied and promoted His truths in conformance with His Word was enough for Him to save me!

When people bring Scripture to you that conflicts with your attitude then you are the problem. If you know for a fact you have not studied the Bible and you have fixed opinions regarding the Mind of the Most High; you are conflicted and delusional. The Most High will check you for this some way and some day. The Holy Spirit will not manifest into a confused vessel.
