How many of you lost a friend or family member to cancer? I have not met anyone who has not been affected by cancer. I lost my wife and father to cancer within three years of each other and many others out there share a similar experience. Most people traumatized by cancer shifted into research mode and discovered many foods carry cancer causing agents. While many countries banned cancer riddled products like Kraft Mac & Cheese, which was laced with cancer agent, Yellow Dye No. 5.

America stocked the shelves with this delectable cancer causing dish and no one was held accountable. Now the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) declares that PFAS chemicals have made their way into the US food supply. Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of man-made chemicals that includes PFOA, PFOS, GenX, and many other chemicals.  Both chemicals are very persistent in the environment and in the human body – meaning they don’t break down and they can accumulate over time.

These PFAS chemicals are linked to adverse health impacts including liver damage, thyroid disease, decreased fertility, high cholesterol, obesity, hormone suppression and cancer. Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food.” He did not say, “Let food be thy poison and let poison be thy food.” Between 2010 and 2020, we expect the number of new cancer cases in the United States to go up about 24% in men to more than 1 million cases per year, and by about 21% in women to more than 900,000 cases per year.

Why is this not a priority with the American Government? The American people are no longer eating safe food or drinking safe water. There are so many issues placed before are basic needs it makes no sense. The Food industry needs to be regulated to a higher degree because for the FDA to let them get to this point is a travesty. Americans are being groomed for life threatening conditions and the irony is they pay for it!
