If you grew up during the original “Star Trek” era you witnessed technology snatched from the imagination of a visionary. We were amazed by their communication devices and other technology. Now we have realized whatever is imagined can be made a reality. This is the case with the web shooters of Marvel Comics super hero, Spiderman.
Now it appears inventors are very close to creating his web shooter. I could have used one of these when I was pushed down the subway stairs in New York city! There would be great applications for spider silk, I am just not sure if the web shooters would be ubiquitous. I found it fascinating to see the actual science behind the web shooters and I thought you would enjoy it too!
