Nautilus Live Captures Rare Deep Sea Sperm Whale Footage

It is so easy to get caught up in Biblical prophecy and rightly so, but there must be balance in our minds in order to not become imbalanced. How can you become an expert on all things doom and gloom without the counter-balance of hope and love? You soon become a detective of all things sinister and not an appreciator of all things from the Creator. I am leading up to a whale of story which reminded me of Scripture that amazed me as a child. I think most people have a special affection for dolphins and whales. There is a fascination with their massive size yet they move so gracefully in the sea waters.

And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. (Genesis 1:21)

I am not sure about you but I have not seen much video of sperm whales at deep depths. I think it is important to appreciate the Creation of the Most High to balance out all of doom and gloom. It shows us that the Most High is in control of everything at all times and the whale is one of His majestic illustrations. The deep sea video was captured by Nautilus (and Nautilus Live) which are programs of the Ocean Exploration Trust, which works at the frontiers of STEM education, technology development, and ocean exploration.

The excitement of the staff is infectious as you watch the video unfold in the deep ocean depths. The array of staff personalities are filled with euphoria as they knowingly witness something extremely rare.  The pirate impressions surely were amusing but the star of the video is this sperm whale. The serendipitious  whale became fascinated with the lights and cameras . . . as any sperm whale would. This gentle giant assessed deep sea equipment from afar after taking several perimeter sweeps for a safety analysis. In the end, I wondered about the mind of the Most High and how he created this whale. What an amazing Father we all have!
